Monday, October 17, 2005 Get lost in the Corn Maze! On Friday evening (October 14), we went on a trip to the Edmonton Corn Maze. Imagine a huge corn field being turned into a maze. Ho ho!There were at least 30 of us I think. This event was organized by the International Center. Yee Ying thought that there would be spooky things in the maze to scare us. When we arrived there, we realized that, unlike a haunted house, it was all about getting lost in that huge maze. It was huge. Seriously. Our group got lost in Phase 1. There was a Phase 2. And I don't think we covered it. There were two bridges in the maze. The bridges allowed us to estimate which direction is correct. Clues given in the form of questions based on your knowledge of Halloween. It was called a "Passport" and it consisted of twelve questions. Each question number corresponds to the sub-phase of each main phase (1 & 2). However, it was so impossible to find the exit using those clues. It was something like ... Question 8 "What is the bla bla bla...?" A. Bla (turn left) B. Blah (turn left) C. Bleh (turn right) D. Bluek (turn right) How can that direction (right or left) possibly tell us the correct direction, when anyone could arrive at the sub-phase from four different paths!!!! In the end, we concluded that the stupid Passport was just a joke. It was just out to get you lost in the maze, haha. Truthfully speaking, we were quite smart as we knew we had to head in one direction back to the exit (which was next to the entrance). Still, it took us an hour and a half to finally get out of the maze, haha. And... I stole some corn... HAHA! Then again, I think this maze thing isn't very suitable for kids to play. Well, it would be alright with adult supervision. But we saw lots of unsupervised groups of children in the maze. And there was this little boy, who went missing for about an hour since we arrived. All in all, it was fun! It was great fun after a week of stress from school >_< Ooooohh...I love my new hair colour! Check it out ^^ My first time dyeing, hehe! Well Liana helped me on it :)
