Back to studying
Haha. I haven't had the time to write since I got back. For now, I am using the wireless internet at university. However, it gets a little twitchy. Seriously, I am hoping my cable internet gets here as soon as possible. My laptop is currently in the living room because the wireless reception is much better than in my room upstairs.Nothing much to report actually. After all, it is my third year, and I am pretty familiar with university and all. My courses for this term are looking tough. Expectations are higher this time. More reports to write instead of just pre-assigned assignments. I am taking a first-year course as my science elective - Cell Biology. I am hoping it won't be too bad.
Other than that, I am pretty happy for now with my current housemates. Two days ago we celebrated Yee Ying's birthday. Last Saturday we went to the Legislature Building to walk around. Took some nice pictures too. The weather then was really beautiful, but now it is starting to get colder. Winds were sweeping across town fiercely. Everyone feels that winter will arrive sooner this year.
Last night, we wanted to watch The Exorcism of Emily Rose at the theaters, but decided to postpone it to Tuesday instead (because tickets are only $6 haha!). Therefore, we ended up watching The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on Jackie's computer. It was a funny movie. The kind of humour I like. I presume it is not everyone's cup of tea. Douglas Adams's humour is just amusingly crappy. After that, my friends were all discussing how they should celebrate my birthday. As usual, Jackie and his bright ideas ... well you see, I bought two glass shots for him and his brother as souveniers from Australia. He did not want to accept it and insisted that I take shots from those glasses first before giving it to him. Apparently, it makes it more "fun"
Getting me drunk is not fun *ahem* I am pretty destructive ... when I am super high. So, on the 30th September, which is a Friday, I have to drink 22 shots (the 20 shots was added in because I am turning 20). Terrible friends. Well, naturally... I won't even make it to the 20th shot. So they discussed again and let me share the shots with others, but I have to drink a minimum of 6-10 shots. Looks like I'm going to be dead drunk.
